Connie Ragen Green — Self Worth: Prioritize Yourself First

Well-Deserved Self Worth Begins with Prioritizing Yourself First

Some people feel really good about helping others. If you feel a need to help your friends and loved ones from time to time, you should absolutely pat yourself on the back. Good for you. The world needs more people willing to assist others without expecting anything in return. When it comes to self-worth, prioritize yourself first to increase yours exponentially.

Unfortunately, some of those you help will take advantage of your generosity. They will sometimes be the people closest to you. Total strangers might be able to manipulate your good nature. So you have to be careful if you’re one of those people always looking out for others.

People who value themselves are often more respectful of others and aware of what is happening around them. They assist when it is needed and are grateful for what they have. These people are different from those with low self-esteem because they put their essential needs first.

Taking Care Of Yourself Doesn’t Mean You’re Selfish

Let’s discuss a harsh reality. This might be challenging to embrace. You have so many wonderful people in your life. You are grateful for all your amazing relationships. Even so, there’s one thing you must remember. It is your responsibility and yours only
